For real?

Man why they have to move backwards?

Yeah it pissed me off too when I realised. The GC controller is the best one they've made.

Ordered this awesome phone over the weekend. Should be arriving either Tomorrow (Wed) or on Thursday.

It's my first proper foray into Windows Phone, so it'll be interesting.

People arn't wrong when they say Ballarat is the coldest town in VIC; Never before have I had frost on my breath, INSIDE a house.

Needs to say that despite current temp being 1.9° at time of writing, thanks to the inbuilt Rinnai gas heater I'm nice and toasty.

Picked up some furniture for me living/dinning area;

Apex 7 Piece Dining Set

Blanked out prices because it's just rude to talk about money like that. Just waiting on the motherboard and the led strip which the shop somehow left behind at the store, possibly necessitating another weekend with no desktop and stuck on a crap laptop that chunks along.

Not at all surprised 'bout the cold inside I've been there :(

Furnishings look good . It's easier dealing with being temporarily poor if you're comfy toooo

You know, I'm really liking the old lightshades. Not sure they fit with your current style but I really like the look of them.

not sure how to make that ^^ empty look go ;)

:)

Must admit, was wondering why you had peanut butter and honey in the 'fridge, in Ballarat, we do the former sometimes in summer, in Perth :)

Cheers

The lightshades have to go; Inspected the one above the dining table last night to find it's a shonky job, where it's just been wired into the bayonet socket, and though it's covered I'm assuming it's the same deal for the second one - First thing first to replace them with some properly wired shades.

Looking at getting two of either of these mini chandeliers:

Or one of this chandelier above the dinning table, and something else for the living:

No pics. But got D&D Starter Kit (A couple of weeks ago. But it is my latest real life purchase, if you don't include lunch). Will be buying Players Handbook in next day or 2.

New Zippo. I have two already, but one's from my brother, who died a few months later, and one's from the ex wife, and I'm worried I'll lose them. Zippo Armor, which means the shell is 1.5 times thicker than an ordinary one. So that'll be nice.

Just make sure when picking such lights that you try the specific globes you plan on using in them as well. My brother bought some ball chandelier and spent about 3 months trying globes that looked right.

Fluorescents are usually unsuitable as the glass/crystal won't sparkle - you need something with point light source(s)

With incandescents currently banned, and most halogen options due to be banned in the near future, you may have to find the appropriate LED lights that are not diffused, 'Corn cob' style LED globes may be the key, but they may not cast light in the correct orientation, or may not be compact enough to fit some fittings. and if you care about the colour temperature and CRI you further complicate the options.

But get a light fitting right for a room, and it transforms it.

I despair of light fittings, in fact globes in general, ridiculous market. I've several that I want to replace here, not found a thing that works as yet.

Nice Zippo Tak, also good to see you posting :)

I need to get some fuel for my Zippo, last batch was smelly, back to original, but didn't know they did a thicker shell, mine is pretty dinged up :)

Cheers
