Bah =(. I'm trying to get Maxemum TV Guide Working

Recommended Posts

Damned if I can get it working though =(. I have joined the Oztivo group, and found this: http://web.aanet.com.au/~auric/files2/tv_grab_oztivo . It looks like the right kind of thing, but the --configure command doesn't do anything (not that I know what I should do with it).

I have been trying to follow these instructions:

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=121437

Halp!

EDIT: It might have something to do with me saving it as a txt file rather than an xml file, but just saving the extension doesn't seem to change anything.

Sorry, Taz - no idea. I can't get to my Ubuntu machine for a while, so can't check myself. Sounds like an issue for the project's forum, tbh.

I'm getting a error. I'm getting:

robzy@ubuntu-desktop:/usr/bin$ ./tv_grab_oztivo --configure
Can't locate Config/General.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /etc/perl /usr/local/lib/perl/5.10.1 /usr/local/share/perl/5.10.1 /usr/lib/perl5 /usr/share/perl5 /usr/lib/perl/5.10 /usr/share/perl/5.10 /usr/local/lib/site_perl .) at ./tv_grab_oztivo line 94.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at ./tv_grab_oztivo line 94.
robzy@ubuntu-desktop:/usr/bin$

Is this the same as you, or are you getting nothing at all?

Rob.

Ooh, neat. Mine's completely different:

-bash: /usr/bin/tv_grab_oztivo: Permission denied

ps - I logged in as superuser first using sudo -i. Same thing happened when I wasn't logged in too.

Care to show what line 94 is?

Hi

You could try using Shepherd http://svn.whuffy.com/ which is grabber of guide listings and a xmltv front end, like xmltv-gui maybe even the Maxemum. The great thing about Shepherd is that it grabs listings from multiple sources so you're not reliant on only Oztv. I must say though I've only used it with Mythtv and it works great. It does say that it work with any xmltv reader though.

Hope it helps

Now I get the same error as rob.

No idea what line 94 would be or how to count. Does it count lines with # or just the active lines? Does it count the gap lines in between?

It counts all lines.

type

vi ./tv_grab_oztivo
G94
You perl version my be an upset, but we'd need to see it.

vi vim One Liner...

vi /home/glenn/My_system/aria-exit-status;G94
