[PC] Microsoft Flight

Since Microsoft discontinued further development of the MS Flight Simulator franchise, they are now working on a replacement, as this stage, called Microsoft Flight. (doesn't sound TOO different...)

It's looking like it will be a much more comprehensive flight simulator, weighted to the realism end of the spectrum.

I never got around to buying MS Flight Simulator X either, because it looks like they never discounted it. (well, at least, I've never seen it on sale for less than $89.95)

I grabbed Flight Sim X a few years back for $40, just proved to me that I'm not into flight sims, it seems kind of funny that this new flight simulator franchise of theirs is just called MS Flight, yet its supposed to be more realistic than previous offerings...more of a...sim...

its destined to fail

The new simulator will be Games for Windows – Live-enabled

I do fire up X every now and then but I've never really gotten fully into it.

FSX was perfectly realistic enough for me; if the aircraft model is well-written it can be remarkably accurate. I still use it on a regular basis and much prefer it to X-Plane.

Needless to say I'm looking forward to this new instalment. It does seem from their website that they plan on making it more of a "game" though.
