Atomic 3DMark & Game Benchmark Rankings

Nice score man, whats heaven give you with the cpu up that high?

I haven't tried anything else yet, but will crank it up again soon as I want to re-run it for HWBOT with everything tweaked.

Will check heaven, vantage and maybe a few others if I have time. I've got a lot of free disk space now to play with.

probably an extra 5 points same with stalker

crysis will love it though

So heaven loves GPU but is not limited by CPU much? Sounds about right, most of the time I am over 100FPS in heaven if I recall right..

Ok so here's my first benchmark run. I haven't pushed the hardware yet to find its absolute limit but given I'm already pretty happy with my results I haven't felt the need to overclock until I get errors etc.

Here's the direct link to the image. I'm not sure why it's so small in my post?

Just saw this over at OCAU.. Very nice mate. Impressed! Your new RAM looks to be the goods.

Going to give it a run on my machine tonight if I have time.

Edit:

Gave this a go tonight myself. Pretty impressed with the 12.11's.

Thanks Dasa. I was able to run it up to about 1350Mhz but started to see some weird graphical glitching so toned it back a bit. Think I am finally seeing the real limits which I wasn't able to do with afterburner. Would have been nice to get 12,500 but only did a few quick runs, didn't have all night to tinker.

As for Morgoth, he has been fair active on D3/battle.net a lot, so hes def not dead :P

Ive seen very little in performance gains with driver releases, what percent gains you guys seeing in games?

Edit, never mind saw several reviews, can these drivers be so good - is amazing!

not really amazing

each new gen from amd\nvidia has always had room for improvement and gcn shaders is a fairly big change that required optimization

just as gtx480 did then less so with gtx580\gtx680 as they have a lot of similarities to the first major change in a while from nvidia

revised gpu typically only have a small amount of room for optimization across the board but can still see large gains when optimized for individual games

Cracked 17,000 tonight. I'm pretty confident I squeeze some more.

I'm aiming for 18,000!

just looking back at this again and wondering what speed your ram is at and if you think you have some extra room to move there or not?

should be enough to get you well past 12500 when you look at the difference in our physics\combined scores

Sorry didn't see this one Dasa.

Thats with my RAM @ 1600, but tight timings 7-9-8-20-1T.

There is no room to move from there though. At any CPU speed above 4.6GHz it just won't boot unless RAM is at 1600.

At 4.6GHz I can run 2133 at around 10-11-10-27-2T but at 4.7 or better I am stuck with 1600, even 1866 doesn't work.

I am pretty sure this CPU just has a crappy IMC.

Thanks

Thanks man!

I think 20,000 is pushing it. The record for my configuration seems to be around the 19,200, and one would imagine that even that was done with some pretty exotic cooling.
