Time is fleeting

Recommended Posts

Ever since I unplugged the VCR, I have no idea on what time it is ;)

Atomicans seem to know about cool looking watches, so, can any one direct me to some cool looking clocks??

Wall mounted or for a shelf

I always like the 'smooth motion' ones, I hate the ticking. No matter how quiet it is or how far away in the house it is, my ears will attune themselves to a ticking clock and keep me awake.

Always wanted to make one of these - pity about the noise.

That's just beautiful. How is it even doing that? If you could just mount it in a sound-deadened box with a perspex top, it would make an amazing centrepiece or whatever. It would keep children and stoners occupied for hours. It's like a techno-lavalamp.

I have this one

although it's developed some problems, and I need to repair it.

I remember that! I always wanted one, but way too expensive.

I just use the PC clock or if the PC is off have a cheapy wall clock similar to this one

When out and about I just use the mobile phone now as I was getting odd skin irritations with watch bands.

And those nixi clocks are also cool. Can anyone else imagine Cave Johnson having on on his desk?

I have a number of digital clocks, but my favorite timepiece is a German movement mantle clock, built in 1923 ... the same year my house was constructed. It has an ornate wooden casing, brass pendulum and half hour chime. Winding the clock has become a sunday afternoon ritual. The ticking is only enough to break a complete silence. There's something about this old school ticker thats hard to resist. Love it.

According to my stereo system, it's been 12:21am for 7 years now.

I wouldn't have pegged you for a twelve o'clock flasher.
