Fallout 3 is better than HL2 and Deus Ex

Recommended Posts

I dreamed about Fallout 3 last night.

Maybe I should stop playing it so much....

Probably won't happen.

I like the computer hacking. Doesn't require too much thought, it's a fairly simple case of deductive exclusion.

I don't agree with the initial sentiment of the thread. It's pretty much Oblivion with Guns, as was expected. The storyline I've experienced has been mediocre and the quests have been pretty standard. Neither should really be compared to HL2 or DX though, that's FPS vs. RPG stuff there.

I am getting this weird thing where I hear ringing noises and the screen goes hazy and wobbles - whats the go with that? Is it some mental field thing like in STALKER?

Does your vision turn blue? That's the best way I can try to determine it without spoiling stuff :P

Don't think so.

I thought it might be related to having my head 'crippled', but after taking meds and fixing it it still seems to stay.

At the moment I am at the Lincoln Memorial part, if that helps.

EDIT - ok it's cause I am head crippled (take that as you will :p). Stim packs fix it up.

Ah, that's right. Same thing can happen if you get hooked to chems and you get a side-effect.

The thing I was talking about is location-specific, so I won't go into it any further :P

Never noticed that particular one being swimming and blurry - just, ah, not quite right. Edited by Cybes

Oh, and has anyone else seen flying car wrecks? Must be a spawning issue...

funny you mention that, I was playing FO2 and managed to get a bug that did the same thing (as in a car wreck being on-screen at all times in a corner) maybe they included it for continuity?
