Well, I gave you as much help as you gave us information.

What's the site based on? What shopping cart implementation are you using? Where is the site hosted? How is it configured?

We haven't a foggiest clue how to help you. I might wear a pointy hat but I'm no wizard. My crystal ball got lost in the Brisbane floods.

A link to the site might be handy, but mainly knowing what's being used for the shopping cart facility. Those would be very good starting points.

At the moment, yeah sure, I can point to any number of online stores with shopping carts that work fine.

ok sorry once again as i was only given a minimal amount of info to. hope this will help its called web cat.Its a fishing tackle site. It started with this. The concept is good, But this goes to his site and he charges per month and take a percentage of the sales.

The concept of it works as you can get differing products all on one line, the cart is good, but i need to it to be emailed to me. the system i have partially installed at the moment is similar to the mal one but has no cart it does email me, but if you have muliples in the first box like choose 12lb line 300yd you then cannot buy 20lb line 300yd as you can not go and choose again.

http://www.malsforms.com/product-option-qty.html

this is liked and you can put it on one line.

will see if i can find the other part we used but that was only to send the email

Okay, on that first link, I was able to make a selection, select "Add to order" and the item appeared. Then, I clicked the back button, made a different selection, hit "Add to order" and it appended that to the previous order.

Likewise, the "Continue shopping" button down the bottom, sends me back to the page where I can add additional items. The total is updated too.

In short, I do not see a bug.

Oh ok then thats good , but he needs the cart to link to his email for ordering.does that make sence.

At times people are overseas and the ship charges vary.

Most of the time they order / buy wrong any way.

I can also then advise payment options.

he wants to add his email address to the cart so people can email him after they have made there order.Hope this helps .Rob

this is what he wants to add a cart that is linked to his email address,so the buyers can ask questions ,and view there cart .thtis does not need to be a secure cart, and free if possible.

Well, looks like that Mal's Commerce site is locked down in what it can do…

https://www.mals-e.com/faqs_setup.php#Anchor-8 seems to suggest it's dependent on the payment service, some will redirect back to the Mal's Commerce site, and some do not. It's something you'll have to take up with them, as it's set up on their system, and they control the site, not you.

An option might be to look into other solutions, such as Google Checkout, Cube Cart or numerous other e-commerce sites. CMS packages like Joomla! also offer e-commerce plug-ins.
