I don't see a vapour phase cooler in that pic, disappointed...

You should send be a board so I cant put it on mine!

If only I had an old VapoLS, I see them pop up from time to time.

Bnew:

It's the bits I'll be using for my retro overclocking, I decided I needed many sets of things because without the restriction of being scared of replacing dead cpus, I can just go nuts with vcore

Lmao, that 9800XT looks tiny compared to todays topend cards!

my old MSI 9800XT was longer and had a full cover single slot ceramic HSF.

but anyways, looking forward to the results!

looks like the fsb may be more of a limitaion than the 2.9v max for the ram but there was a tweaked bios i spoted someone using that they claimed let them go from ~210-230fsb

epic, wish I had the chance to play with such hardware when I was younger except I was stuck using shitty celerons and P4's on dell machines -_-

Wicked. I should drive up the coast and have a look at your efforts!!!

Hehe :P

End of the week I'm giving away all my old Pentium 4 and Athlon XP stuff. Traded it for some PCIe graphics cards, and possibly some other stuff hopefully

Brisbanite? if so I'll donate more CPU's to the cause.

North Tasmania, Though I'm happy to pay to send any spare AXP gear

Cheers.

First step is modding one of the NF7S boards, I'm pretty sure I should have kept my DDR booster, but modding the Vdimm should be good if not better.

Hopefully soon enough I'll have the time to do all this

I'm looking forward to seeing the result of this.

Can you overclock one of the old AMD cpus without a heatsink so we can watch it cook up and die!

fairly sure that block supports socket a 462

but with mine not being a swiftech revision i have to remove the top plate and just use holes in the block

not sure how the swiftech block dose it or if the swiftech storm v2 has socket a mount holes

Why is it that when I read this comment I could just hear it being said on a stormy night with maniacal laughter coming from a man in a Frankenstein-esque garb?
