Best cooling money can buy without going water or LN

I'm thinking of purchasing a 2600K for my future build. What would be the best heatsink/cooler that I could buy, I don't mind about the price as long as its not too loud.

 

Also, what would be an ideal overclock on the cpu through the multiplier and without raising voltages.

2600k should do around 4.1 to 4.5ghz fairly easy with ~1.25-1.3v

To get really good, stable overclocks, you always have to bump the voltage at least a little. A good cooler will keep things from getting too hot.

You might be able to, I haven't OCd that chip. And every individual chip handles OCs slightly differently, so if you've got a really good one, you'll get a bit more out of it with a bit less volts. Just give it a shot once you've got a cooler, raising the voltage a small amount will only change the temps by a few degrees anyway. Just keep going til you get the biggest OC you can with temps and noise you're comfortable with.

It is.

 

Just leave the voltage on auto, at 4ghz it shouldnt push it too high, but just remember that fine tuning your settings will get you a better OC.

 

For example, after a lot of fucking around mine is stable at 4.2ghz with 1.24v when vdrooping under load.

i doubt it since ~1.25v is stock but there is dud chips out there that wont do so well

can depend on your mb and how big its vdrop is to
