2012 tech predictions.

Shame...

A while ago they were the "Apple" of their time.

Absolutely.

In days gone by, Nokia were known for their high prices, their excellent design, and their ease of use.

However, when smartphones went from a niche, into bread and butter, Nokia just released a lot of really REALLY bad products.

8. Gerry has enough cash to outlast the others and as much as people hate Gerry they love him when he will sell you Touchtabs at $99 or 2 for 1 notebooks. He is outspoken but please don't forget he employs a lot of techies while they go through uni and on the better things. If we head the way of the states we will have DSE or HN as the new Best Buy and the other will fade away. JB can only pretend to be cheap for so long.

10. An American recovery is good for all, Ron Paul is the man to do it.

Vita will have some really annoying problems and design flaws at launch.

It's just too much of an amazing little feature filled product. There's gotta be something wrong with it all.

2012 tech predictions. Some bold/unrealistic, some not:

-Microsoft will buy or make a bid for Nokia

-Motorola will make the next Nexus

-Windows 8 will surprise everybody by suffering from MS' "alternate OS failure" curse.

-Apple will surprise nobody with marketing that reads. Like Captain Kirk speaking. Again.

-NASA will continue to be ignored by the general public.

-The cost of the F-35 will double again.

-Next Xbox/PlayStation will not come out, some details at E3.

-iCloud will go the way of MobileMe and .mac, but will be replaced by something else.

-PCIe-based SSDs will be the new must-have for performance enthusiasts.

-Cross-platform, monthly subscription Call of Duty: Modern Warfare MMOFPS. PC users consistently pwn console users.

I wouldn't be pleased at all if that happens.

The F-35 is a ludicrous and dodgy endeavor costing way too much money and a new console upgrade would be fantastic to the now aged hardware.

-Cross-platform, monthly subscription Call of Duty: Modern Warfare MMOFPS. PC users consistently pwn console users.

That actually could be possible... if Activision stays Activision. Edited by Mr.Twinkie

Activision will go down in a blazing glory...well maybe minus the glory part...by the way I just hope it happens need more variety instead of big companies barely changing there game making formula and silly people buying it over and over. Activision is getting cocky so hopefully they go the wrong way and burn themselves to the ground.

Anyway Nokia still makes great phones heard of the Nokia Lumia 900 best Windows Phone out according to Popular Science USA branch...Although they are only coming to USA now so...

Anyway my mind is going into long winded tangents with any tech prediction and writing this on my phone isn't fun -.- so I shall stop now.

Windows 8 will suck.

New CPU manufacturer will join the x86 arena, dawning a new breed of fanboiz.. for better or for worse :\

DDR4 will never happen, as they'll just announce they will use DDR5 instead (for the lolz)

Netbooks will be the new name for "Laptop" and "Notebook"

Microsoft will release yet another updated version of the Xbox 360, which may lead them to announce a much later date for the next-gen console debut.

Sony will start charging Playstation users for online gaming.

(cackle)

Hah, I was way off. Except for Windows 8, although that is quite subjective.

I see many changes to Security Online and the way we do anything online in respect to Banking and Subscriptions for MMO's.

Also we may see the end to HDD's over SSD"s and a new range for backwards compatibly that relies on HDD's.

Windows will go belly up as it is and a New Windows system deployed that trains itself to the User.

Graphics Cards will be lighter and cheaper with dual GPU and CPU chips and Memory.

Intel will merge with ATI and only 1 form of graphics card will be available. Sound cards will be extinct and instead we will see Sound Sticks that be place on the Motherboard to enhance the onboard Sound.

Voice to Text will be included in most Bios chips and on Mobo's along with Security Encryption for certain functions and Encrypting SSD's and DVD's .

AMD is ATI so i doubt Intel will buy them out unless they buy AMD as well. Even i they did you still have Nvidia :). Hardware encrypted SSDs and HDD already exist, i own a self encrypting SSD :).

1. I can see SSD can see SSD capacities getting higher andtheprice lowering slightly.

2. Nvidia will release a bungled GPU which they fix up in a later revision.

3. AMD continuedto get owned by Intel.

Number 3; Smakme7757 nailed that one :P

Gaming consoles will become even more powerful, changing shape to a sleeker and more ergonomic design and have there own screen attached! WOW.

Apple has no jobs and now goes rotten!

Steven Hawking stands up and says "just joking, Bazzinga".
