Where do you buy your equipment?

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I have got a Yamaha digital piano (CPL230) and been thinking about getting a pair of Behringer monitor speakers to supplement it. I am just wondering where do you usually buy your equipiment? The speakers I am looking at are not your normal hi-fi speakers so I don't think you can find them in JB (at least I didn't see them). I am currently looking at the Behringer MS40 (cheaper, more input sources but sound is only OK from the reviews I have read) or Behringer Truth B2030A (more expensive but seems to get better reviews).

Thanks

Kenny

which should bring them in line with prices everywhere else :P

i find that the best way to score deals is to become chummy with your local music store (but not chain store).

sure, they usually cost more than your chains, but you get people who actually give a shit about what they do and are quite knowledgeable.

And if something comes up and they need to move a bit of kit fast, or someone duds them on a laybuy etc, you can get offered to buy the goods at a heavily discounted price... its worked for me in the past :)

Cranbourne Music

http://www.cranbournemusic.com.au/

Camberwell Music Junction

http://www.musicjunction.com.au/

Billy Hyde Music

VideoGuys Australia

Can anyone recommend any reliable online shops?

cheers

Kenny

Two shops....

www.soundcorp.com.au - Great deals from time to time

www.djwarehouse.com.au - Will match any price, so you can push them right down (: Another plus is that they have a big range.

I've got a pair of Behringer B2031A's I'm pretty happy with them, although my flatmates pair of Yamaha monitors leave them for dead but for the price the Behringer's are great.

I picked up my pair from an Ebay store, I think it was Melbourne Music?
