What's on your mind?

Recommended Posts

Just found out a mate was diagnosed with this:

https://www.google.com.au/#q=peritoneal+cancer

Puts life in perspective, yeah?

Any life-threatening diagnosis does, but nobody thinks about it until it hits close.

My sympathies to your friend.

Was almost easier in some ways when I got my own diagnosis years ago...hate this helpless feeling. And he's got a 1 year old kid... :(

It is easier when it's yourself. It's always harder for the people who care about them than the individual themselves - that's why the most effective torture is to strap you to a chair and force you to watch while your wife/gf/so/child is brutalised.

A friend of mine got two xrays to check for a "potential" cancer - scarring on a lung, but they won't tell him until August.

True that

X-rays - in my experience - are quick diagnostic tools, but I guess the specialist needs to assess them.

Waiting sucks though!

Might only have been a four day week for me, but it was a quality week never the less. Time to "Tank" I think.

Awesome day to be out.

First time for a while I've had all the windows open and hung the washing outside. Though with this wind there is a good chance the washing will end up at Mawson station...

Having trouble with the socket from my pulled tooth - impressed that the dentist got me back in at little over an hour's notice.

Not impressed with the local Pharmacy - useless pack of incompetent morons. They have more people onsite than the Coles up the road yet given a timeframe of 80 minutes typically manage to fuck up 70% of prescriptions I've ever given them. This time, of 3 items they'd picked one. About to sign it and query why the package is so small.

About time the chain supermarkets started integrated pharmacies - give that industry the kick up the arse it so sorely needs.

Really, I don't think your mum wants you using her computer.

Hmm,

Not my experience with my pharmacy over here at all - they have even delivered medications when unable to get there.

That said pharmacies within supermarkets are a mixed thing - some good some awful, been the case in the U.K. the U.S and even some places here in Australia for years.

I'll stay with a pharmacy that actually knows what they are doing and have been known to call our doctor to query new scripts for my wife - with whom a lot of drugs do not agree, let alone drug combinations to query, usually successfully, just why this is being prescribed.

I agree with others in the thread mate, go find a new pharmacy :)

Cheers

At this rate Trump is going to fire himself - it's as if he is still living in a reality TV show :)

A few people are firmly convinced that he's actively trying to get himself removed. If you remember the pics from his inauguration dinner, he sure didn't look too pleased about winning.

Hmm,

I don't suppose that would surprise me much but then again he hardly ever looks happy and when he does it seems forced.

I suppose it raises the question of why he ran but I think it began as a typical bit of Trump grandstanding but then also in typical Trump fashion he became caught up in the competition.

I also do not believe he had any idea of what the job really entails but here he is well into his term, and really despite these ridiculous daily tweets he has achieved nothing and the heart of the U.S. administration is in chaos, whatever he tries to say.

Clinton was by no means an ideal candidate but she was well aware of what the job would entail.

I suppose Trump COULD resign, but I would not think his ego would allow that.

Cheers
