Rest in Peace Spamz0r - 6/5/1987 - 29/10/2012

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys,

TwiZTid_CoZa here. As some of you may know Tom (Spamz0r) has had a rough run over the past few years, namely dealing with schizophrenia and borderline personality disorder.

It all became a bit too hard for him to and he unfortunately passed away last Monday evening. He was a close friend and even through the last few years we kept in contact.

Atomic was his home away from home and he would want me to let you guys know.

I am trying to put together a movie for his funeral, If any the members in here have any stories, pictures or anything of worth, please let me know in this thread. I would love to add anything from atomic, as it was a major part of his life.

I am sorry to hear he didn't get the help he needed.

Didn't know him well but I used to talk to him and he really, really needed that help.

:(

A friend of a friend killed herself a few weeks ago, left behind a trail of devastated people including her 5-month-old son. My own best friend still hasn't recovered from his cousin killing herself years ago. What is wrong with the world that this has to keep happening...?

What is wrong with the world that this has to keep happening...?

Willpower is finite, sometimes the hurt and pain becomes too much to bear.

Vaguely remember him from the dawn of time when I lurked a bit. Today is a sad news day.

Condolences.

Do I remember the right person...was into mountain bike riding and graphic design?

Nope, wrong person. RIP all the same.

I meant more what is causing this and why there isn't more help available.

I have an awful memory though I do remember talking to him a few times.

RIP. Very tragic that we're still losing people to depression. That's the second 25 year old I've known to pass away this October alone.

Thinking of your family and friends, may you find the peace you were seeking xoxo

(Just because I can't seem to find anything on it through a search, was he the video store guy?)

That's who came to mind for me too (above). Looking through the archives, I don't think they are the same person.

Speaking of which (archives), I found this post from spamzor:

... I am going to kill myself around the age of 20-25.

Sad news about a atomician passing away.

Depression is a illness it takes many forms and how we deal with it. Getting help is sometimes a big challenge knowing full well that someone will hear about your illness ,we all have it in one way. It is how we deal with it in the long run makes the difference ,being a male makes it harder if they have a family or responsibilities.

Damn, I remember that thread. He was pretty fucked up then.

Really thought he'd get his shit together.

Thats a really hectic read. Kinda reminds me of the movie inception how an idea is planted in his head and he starts to really believe it right up to the end. I feel really sorry for all the people he left behind, what a waste of life

My friend acted that way leading up to turning 25 (before I knew him - he's 30 now). He was convinced he wouldn't live past 25 so he took a lot of very dangerous risks and none of them killed him. Now he's convinced that he can't die, not yet anyway, so he still takes stupid risks and he is happy to be alive as life is some kind of punishment for him. It's heartbreaking that he needs help that no one seems to be able to give him.

Many of my school friends that have found me on Facebook are amazed that I'm still alive and actually have a decent job and a family. They all thought I'd be dead.

Fight the powa.
