The fuck AMD...

No one wants your chips anymore, only reason why i still buy them is the price.

Interesting, the listings seem to have been taken down now...

Shit that was quick, i just refreshed the page before you posted.

And it looks like the turbo speed is going to be the new AMD fudge number.

"AMD announces first factory 5Ghz processor"

No, no it doesn't... AMD announces first factory 4.7Ghz processor.

You do realise these chips are for extreme OCs only, and after that super pi bios fix, i cannot wait for the results.

Yes i do realize and i also realize the only reason why AMD is still hanging on is the price of their chips.

I was expecting a bit of a jump in price for these but that is ridiculous.

If the top chip was 399 I would buy one and bench it under ln2..8.9ghz maybe? :D I do wonder which benchers will get one.. And are they CBB and CB free? You would better hope so..

Considering these are meant to be the top binned chips from AMD, they're pretty cheap compared to Intel's offerings (where you pays thousands for chips the serious overclockers use). Am surprised they were offered in "retail" in all seriousness

i'd like one.

AMD is hardly dead, PS4 and Xbox one will prop them up for a couple of years.

It was a temp listing on 1 hard ware site. ridiculous indeed. no one has prices and no one expects the FX-9xxx to be priced like Sandybridge-E.

No one expects the spanish inquisition

Lets have another look at the Prices

ITEstate and PC Solutions too.

I still hope it's a place holder price.

Checked staticice.com (no au) and only Tigerdirect has the 9370 at US$353. no 9590 prices,

shock horror, the static ice link goes to product not found at tigerdirect.

still looks Sus. as every link I go to atm, is to none existent product pages. even the ones quoted in CPU world articles.

.

yeah, sort of reminds me of the eb games "twice the release price pre order price" farce of the few years ago.

I read about these a while back, but honestly thought they would be maybe $500 for an elite AMD product at this stage.

$1049 for FX 9590

http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_p...oducts_id=24078

$399 for FX 9390

http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_p...oducts_id=24080

links are up and working at the above state price.

lets see how this one gets talked up by AMD.

this is foolish.

was this deliberate to fuckover this product?

PCCG, listing gone, again.

Tiger direct, out of stock

saw the supplier price for the 9350 yesterday. apparently $600+

this might put the 9370 to $1300.

clearly, AMD do not want people buying FX chips if they are allowing this sort of pre release sillyness

Agreed. They should be selling it for much less to encourage more buyers.

Or else people may as well stick with Intel and get a much better performing (and efficient) CPU for much less
