Best SATA, non-PCIe SSD?

Recommended Posts

What is the best SATA, non-PCIe SSD? It will be used in a PC with an i7 920 running Windows 7. I was thinking of the SanDisk X210 but I am open to suggestions.

I would look at either the Samsung EVO or Cruxial MX100. They are my top bets at the moment. If i was buying today I would have gotten one of those depending on price.

Must have a warranty of at least 5 years and be reasonably reliable. Then the fastest out of that bunch.

I mean regardless of price.

They are what i would buy regardless of price. You could move up to the Samsung Pro, which i currently have (500GB model), but the Evo is so close in performance that i wouldn't waste my money on it. Both give >500MBps R/W and the Samsung is good for 90,000 IOPS. Edited by smakme7757

i7-920, I'm going to hazard a guess and say you don't have SATA3 on your mobo?

Edit: Yes, I just noticed this thread is 4 months old. I will now go and write "I will check the last dated post before I reply" 500 times

Also, FAJW was a bit of a nutjob who toed the line VERY well..... but eventually pushed too far and was likely an old banned member.

He asked annoyingly vague questions.
