Desal plants need power, lots of it ... something SA doesn't have an excess off.

🙂

PA used to have some massive power stations fueled by brown coal out of Leigh Creek -dismantled now.

PA COULD take advantage of its large tidal range to generate clean power but that's a very expensive project.

Instead they plan a very large solar plant but it is having trouble with funding.

I think the water table might be a bit deep for bro to dig a well 🙂

Some years with all the tanks he has he gets enough rainfall to carry him through but PA is well north of the Goyder Line so the rainfall is often low - essentially the city is on the edge of desert in the end.

Cheers

That fuckwit crying 'bring it on' doesn't count for shit - even if he wasn't too much of a moron to know he's about to get it in the neck, you can count on him to brazen it out until the last possible moment, and probably then some.

Pollies treat our tax money as play toys.

There are very few politicians who remember that their Offices are supposed to work for the people and/or nation.  Most of them get into the mindset that they're rulers instead.

It's still a bit speculative at this point, but it seems pretty quiet on the campaign trail WRT the suggestion Sri Lanka was payback for New Zealand, ie we missed a bullet.

Dunno, Sri Lanka is hotspot for such activities from the government of Sri Lanka and opposing parties to the government.

Which is why nobody should just "Vote 1" for anything.  Assign your own preferences, or you have no right to complain when the party you voted for puts someone you hate in power.

In a nutshell.

It's still no guarantee, but at least you can righteously complain if you spend a few moments doing your own numbers 😉

Here's the difference between Labor and the LNP:

Shorten has Murdoch's cock up his arse;

Morrison has it in his mouth.

Labor needs to work it's shit out. One hand wants to stop graziers clearing land, while the other is paving ( pun definitely intended ) the way for more mining contracts ... ffs.

https://www.abc.net.au/news/rural/2019-04-30/protecting-the-climate-or-environment-queensland-land-clearing/11053714

" If elected, Federal Labor has promised to improve the "robustness" of the state governments' native vegetation or land clearing laws to better match Queensland's, in an effort to reduce carbon emissions. "

... they want to reduce carbon emissions

Labor doesn't want to do anything about carbon, they just want to look like it.
