What Did You Watch Lately ?

Recommended Posts

OMG dont tell me the guy who wins it half the time won it?  :P

to be fair though, i'm told theres more precarious jostling for position with the bikes, versus, say, watching the likes of Hamilton hold his lead unchallenged for 300 kms straight

Ah fuck, sorry man. It just didn't occur to me that anyone else would be watching at all, let alone on delay.

No worries going to watch it anyway.

Would have watched it live but I generally have a cousin and some friends over Mon night to watch it as they can't get FTA commercial telly.

Just got advised they are piking tonight, cousin is in the USA for the birth of his second grandkid and friend has done his sciatic nerve so not feeling up to driving which I agree with, sciatica is bloody painful and debilitating.

There can be that, but if you want real jostling and overtaking you can't beat the Moto 3 races. A whole bunch of no fear teenagers slipstreaming and cutting each other up and even banging fairings and elbows.

Seriously competitive racing. Often not decided between 1/2 dozen riders till the last corner and last slipstream to the finish line.

happy to say i was very happy with it.

seems to be a fair number of genuine BB fans who werent impressed, but maybe thats coz they were expecting the wrong thing?  it doesnt really follow the narrative arc you would expect of a stand alone film.  it hasnt been movie-ified.  it feels more like a bonus 2.5 episodes.  just a tidy and fitting epilogue for Jesse.  and thats fine with me.

written and directed by Vince Gilligan.  nuff said.

i highly recommend refreshing your mind on the events of the final season first: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Breaking_Bad_(season_5)

A bit long, but for the OMFQBBQ moment, tune in a bit after the 8 minute mark when he pulls and measures the capacitors.

Total Control, c/o iView. Two episodes in and I don't mind it at all, even if it is fantasy. The fact of them choosing Winton ( a world renowned area for precious gems ie; opal  ) makes it a tad interesting to watch.

I had no idea there was a sequel made to Another World.  Problem is it's not all that good.   It was released on Sega CD and later ported to the Amiga (high end machine required).  Eric Chahi had nothing to do with the sequel (which would go some way to explaining why it's not very good).

Also included a doco about the creation of the game, French with subtitles.

Found myself wondering if recycling magnets was much of a thing... Apparently it isn't so far.

Hmm.

Nonetheless an interesting start.

I'd never known much about rare earth magnets, now I know a little more 🙂

Apropo nothing I imagine it was no accident that the narrator was wearing a digital watch   🙂

Cheers

Just another example of why capitalism damns us. Any holism is partial, ad-hoc, too little too late.

A society that deserves to survive indefinitely would consider the whole picture every time something new is in the works, and put worthwhile measures in place to minimise wastage and environmental impact.

AFAIK the EU, that hotbed of socialist madness, requires manufacturers of consumer goods to be responsible for recycling them come end of life. Imagine the outcry from the MSM if our government miraculously developed enough gumption to step on business' toes like that. They'd come over all William Wallace on the disembowelling table.

FREEDOM!

the sopranos rates up there with breaking bad as compelling, once you get caught up in the flow

and equally as dark and disturbing
