What Did You Watch Lately ?

Looks like China didn't actually learn anything from SARS about wet markets and ... well nasty viruses

Some nice classic racers in this one, ranging from late 60s to the 80s.

He has an off around the 5m 20s mark due to trying to avoid a shunt.  But check the acceleration once he's onto Mountain Straight.

Luckily no.  Pretty confronting though.

Black Mesa (Half Life reimaged) wass finally released earlier in the month.

I've played the prelim version through a good number of times but the big wait was mainly for the offworld levels which have been remade fairly comprehensively.

A review, though not very thorough...

Watched this one last night, it's pretty good.

Karateka, I never had much time for - annoyingly slow and somewhat boring & repetitive gameplay.  But it was probably the first ever game to use rotoscoping.

Prince of Persia, now that's probably the pinnacle of 8-bit gaming.  And pretty high up on 16-bit systems also.

Starring Jordan Mechner himself, with original videotape footage that he used to create the animation frames for both games.

Notice the date on that.  Things have most definitely continued to get worse since then - and at an accelerating rate.  It ain't finished gettin' worse yet, either.

In the pipe...

True Terror with Robert Englund.

I think it's a factual documentary, or maybe one of those National Enquirer type ones with ludicrous made up stories.

But the star of the show makes it worth a look at least.

I watched Spenser last night. Was not up to the original show imo, but a fair distraction from rl for a bit

.... Funfact... Netflix stocks continue to rise during this time while others take a dive

This has been around a few years, don't know how I missed it.  Controller pad at top left moves the viewpoint.

Unorthidox. it's a short one season series. Worth a look, if you're curious . I'm assuming it's a pretty fair depiction of Hasidic Jewish life in Williamsburg.

Nutjobs going up hills at silly speeds. The grip on some of those things with all the ground effect/downforce they have is amazing.

This is rather more in-depth than the title suggests.  It's a bit of a long watch, but if you're still watching after the first minute, you'll probably stick with the whole thing.
