Fixing Computer Space

Recommended Posts

Nice blog article from Ed Fries (video game industry veteran) about his aquiring followed by weeks of trial and error to get a Computer Space arcade game working again.

Near to an hours worth of reading, but worth it for anyone who likes playing around with computer hardware or electronics.

Note that Computer Space is one of the early games that used discrete logic with no CPU as such, and mostly analog components to generate the audio.

Ed is the former VP of games publishing at Microsoft and made a start in the video games industry in 1982 programming 8-bit computer games for Romox.
