It doesn't handle the .be links - use the youtube.com version.

That was the second try after the normal link didn't work.

To put it mildly.

Not  too far away to completion by the looks of it - at the rate so far,  'nuther 18 months or so perhaps? 😉

But I'm just curious on how much enjoyment they're (not?) going to have pulling it completely to bits when they've finished all the hardware, to give it a paint job inside 'n out...

I don't think it'd bother them.  Already done multiple times thanks to mockups and revisions needed to fit stuff.

The feat of fitting everything into the amount of space and still being able to drive and carry passengers is impressive enough in itself, maybe even moreso than the performance and handling you might expect of something that'll probably end up 200-300 kgs lighter than a Celica GT.

New side project starting

Quote

In part one of our side project, we take a 34 year old ex-library bus and begin its transformation into what we hope will be a hotel on wheels with the added bonus of being able to transport any of our vehicles at the same time. The venerable truck needs to go on a diet, so out come the power tools...

It just shows how good those two are, that people (myself included!), are happy to watch them doing something as mundane as stripping out an old truck.

I really laughed when a particularly stubborn bolt made a loud creaking noise and the comment was "Sounds like your wallet"...

Ye that got me giggling too.

As far as the truck goes whilst it's chassis seems to be in reasonable nick I am not altogether happy with the condition of the rails and crossmembers that support the canopy. They seem to be rather thin in spots with lots of rust flaking and delamination.

Bit iffy IMO.

What, that's nature's diet - they still want to lose half a tonne, right?

That'll be FINE. It's just correcting for being overbuilt in the first place 😉

Not bad - probably a project most would walk away from but they have the talent to make it look easy.

"Skookum as frig" - some more YT cross-pollenation.

So I've heard these fellers drop an MCM reference, and now the latest MCM vid includes a Binky shoutout.

This came out a few days ago and has just appeared in my suggested list.  Shows some angles of the workshop that you don't usually see.
