you also don't go bankrupt five times by being a business genius.

List of US presidents who were bankrupt:

- Abe Lincoln!

- Ulysses S. Grant!

- Thomas Jefferson!

- Donald Trump

He's in fucking good company.

You're basically missing Eisenhower and Washington, and you'd round out the most achieving Presidents of the USA.

And here you have it. Even shouting stuff like " not my President " How stupid is that?! The election was fairly held and likely rigorously

screened . And still these people protest with exaggerated, potentially dangerous vigour because the vote didn't go their way. :|

Look at the photos. I bet 90% are still living with mom & pop. And most of the remainder are funded by them.

Give them 10 years in the real world, they'll look back and wonder why they behaved like such arsehats. At least some of them will, the remainder become the 40-something comic book reading keyboard warriors that still live in mom's basement.

The best cure for socialism is working a tough job, making more than minimum wage, noting your pay packet dented by large taxes, only to see 20yo whine and bitch about how they don't get enough handouts and why their Two-Spirit Trans-Mermaid gender issues are not acknowledged.

Best way to perpetuate socialism is working a cushy sit-down public service job, pulling in $95K at taxpayer expense. The other half not quite as well off, only $80K PA but the next increment should bump that up a few grand.

Indentured with ignorance to the point where they think the NRMA bloke that came out and changed the flat tyre for him today is making as comfortable a living as he is. Also oblivious to the fact that in saving himself getting his hands dirty for 5 minutes probably denied a pensioner or two a timely road service that they actually neeeded.

Welcome to my world. Canberra. Absolutely chock a fucking block full of this type of people. Ignorant. Left-leaning. So-called "educated". They're a fucking joke.

I'll just briefly interrupt 'Bags' rant about people who finished Year 9 for a second.

Strangely I'm not really that concerned about Trump himself. Congress won't allow him to do most of the really suicidally stupid stuff he plans to do, and if he wants to go isolationist, we can find other trading partners. I imagine it's a good time to invest in the Asian markets.

It's more the fringe lunatics he's empowered that I'm worried about. There's apparently already been some day-one harassment/assaults on women, blacks, Latinos and Muslims. Hopefully reports of that are A) exaggerated, or B) recede quickly.

His concession speech did sound a lot less looney, so that's something.

I remember the protests when Abbott made PM and an often stated comment was 'I didn't vote for him'.

While it doesn't achieve anything, I don't think it's unreasonable for people to let it be known in public that this wasn't their choice.

Clinton did win the popular vote after all, so it's not like she was unelectable.

I didn't vote for Abbott and I said as much on here, I think. However I didn't get together with bunches of others and go trash random

shop windows and burn rubbish in the streets and sit in the middle of a major road blocking traffic.

There's voicing discontent and then there's wanton destruction. It's tantrum behaviour that deserves to go through the courts.

They should be charged with vandalism and destruction of property and actions that could well have caused serious accidents if not death ...

What ' popular ' vote did Clinton win ? Most news today was saying that a lot of the polls and votes got up were geared to look like

Clinton was the only way to go.

Yes, the key is not the word "bankrupt", but the number of times that happened. Once is a learning experience, and happens to many people running their first business - or even second or third if they got lucky and didn't have to plan for tough spots. FIVE TIMES, otoh, is indicative of either not being able to learn, or being ok with running dodgy businesses.

Even shouting stuff like " not my President " How stupid is that?!

I do tend to agree with you, but I can see their point. To put it crudely: If you're going to let all the good muslims disclaim the violent beardies who blow shit up, then these guys are entitled to disown a climate denier who not only shirks Paris Agreement targets but wants to reopen coal mines. Can't have it both ways - either the mass owns their fuckwits or they don't.

"Let it be known" - problem is, it goes a bit beyond that.

In usual fashion, they protest by breaking shit that doesn't belong to them, and other people have to pay for it.

The popular vote doesn't always carry over to winning the election. That can go either way though and is usually the exception in any properly constructed electoral system.

I do have to admit I'm a little baffled at how he plans to make America great again by effectively scaling back its involvement in global affairs and trade. That to me just sounds like a vacuum that China or Russia would fill up. America's 'greatness' only really became a thing on the world stage when it *emerged* from isolationism.

Okay. They're not just disowning him. They're ransacking their neighbourhood like spoilt children . If they be clever enough to " disclaim the

violent beardies who blow shit up," why are they behaving the same way as those " violent beardies" ?

I think the way they've materialised in such numbers so quickly gives a hint to something a little more organised than random hurt at the new

POTUS voted in.

That part I had not caught up with. Last I saw of it was just large protest marches. I agree that that sort of thing is inexcusable - right up there with looting during flood or fire.

It's why I'm not buying it as honest hurt. It's too bloody organised.

Hilary was said to have called her last attempt with Obama as the last ditch she would make at POTUS and she was quoted ( apparently) as late as 2012

as still not wanting to run ...

I blame chrisg totally ( :P ) It was people like him in the DNC that decided Bernie was past it all. Well to my mind that is where they shot their selves in

the face big time. Its my belief had Bernie been given even half of the media help that Hilary got, he would have rocked it in.

No body wanted her. She knew it from day one of this campaign. But the DNC cronies knew better than everyone and knew if they played the

misogynist ticket on Trump that would be his end.

[ ...and this should show one and all just how far the feminists are being led by their pussy ... right down the garden path into nowhere ... ]

She put on her lawyer face and bloody stupidly braved it out and thought with the backing of the media and the DNC she was in like Flynn.

She even booked the place with the glass ceiling to hold her celebratory party in :|

Hillary's concession speech.

IMHO, her best of the campaign. If she'd been that convincing a week ago, she might not have had to make this one.

It was the last sham of her campaign for POTUS. I reckon there's a part of her that is hoping like fuck that Trump's election will trigger

anarchy ...

But purely to watch the world rock.

"Wanna know how I got these scars?" - Master_Scythe. ;p

As to the billionaire comment: a) disputed; and b) you also don't go bankrupt five times by being a business genius. By all accounts except his own, he's rich because he's a brilliant conman who gets other people to give him money for things and skimming a percentage for himself. Now, I don't know if that's accurate, but having seen the doco about his Scottish golf course project I can well believe he's an unscrupulous asshole who would throw his entire family into a wood chipper if it put an extra zero on his income that year.

Maybe, he'll come to the conclusion that he gets even richer by fixing the entire country, and end up being a Good Thing. Maybe he won't, too. And given that his staff had to take away his Twitter access, I don't have a lot faith in his impulse control - which lends credence to favouring the latter. And he absolutely will NOT be a mediocre POTUS - whichever outcome they get it'll be full deflection to that side of the meter.

Well at least with Trump being a dirty player too he should find the Whitehouse easier than a total novice.

He might be able to wipe the floor with a few of them before his time is up ;P

:)

I never even vaguely engaged actually. just was my opinion Bernie would have dropped dead with his hand on the bible :)

Eh, we survived Reagan, just need to weather this one out I guess, not going to be pretty though I suspect.

Cheers

They probably voted for Jill Stein because they're far-left purity ponies who'd rather not get sullied than vote for a candidate who isn't actually an anti-vaxxer of convenience or an Islamolunatic booster.

... actually an anti-vaxxer of convenience

You know she denies that. She said she had some concerns about mercury, but that is no longer an issue and that immunisation is as well proven as anything can be.

You know she denies that.

I do. I also know Trump denies groping 13 (or now 14?) women.

I believe both of them, as much as I believe that there's actually gender called Femme Queen. Or that precious petals need safe spaces at universities.

Cooler heads will prevail - he might actually be not bad for their domestic economy but I'm not sure he even understands what foreign policy is....

Did Obama? The evidence points pretty strongly at "No"

And that's where I'm not so worried.

His attitude SCREAMS "I'm rich, do it for me".

I'm pretty convinced he'll sit there, directing 'America' around, and let his advisers handle the International, acting as a figurehead only.
