Vale, Bastard Child. Atomicans, share this please.

For those who didn't know, he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in May and given 6-12 months to live.

He started chemotherapy a few weeks ago but, as advanced as the cancer was, the chemotherapy was too much for him.

-via- 1shot1kill.

RIP Man, you'll be missed.

RIP mate. You were a legend with the PhotoShop and quick with the humour.

Somewhat sad, I don't think he was all that old either.

Re the membership - I think it was actually substantially longer than that - the September 2008 date got assigned to anyone who was around when the forums went to Invision.

Cancer is a cunt.

Ahh dang. His panoramic photos were epic, and made some darn interesting crafts. Decent guy, gone too soon. :(

His humour. I always thought him youngish, like mid to late twenties. Certainly not bloody old enough for pancreatic cancer :S ... life's a cunt.

Always feels worse when it's a young person that goes. I didn't know the dude well, but I recognise the name. Sympathies to his family an friends.

He was incredibly smart and funny, and yes, the best photoshopper I've ever met. Poor guy didn't stand a chance against that type of cancer.

some people seem to do okay if it's found very early (usually as a consequence of looking for something else - it doesn't give much warning till it's well established usually)

for most with that malignancy it's a late discovery, by which time it's a pretty devastatingly quick, and unpleasant end :(

fwiw, he's not suffering any more

but it's ever sad to lose people you know and love

Wow... That was not what I was expecting to read :o(

I was looking forward to catching up with a name from the past in here and instead get hit with the news that he's gone.

'Condolences' doesn't really cover it, but what else do you say?

Yeah I was looking forward to catching up with both the title holder and the poster of the thread ... even though it feels a bit crass to want to catch up with the living that this sad occasion manages to bring together, isn't that all part of the mourning process too ?

As you might gather, I don't go to funerals.

As you might gather, I don't go to funerals.

mostly i don't, but i get lots of opportunity

i guess that's because i have more people i know die than most people who do other jobs,

i don't think i'm killing them, but sometimes i gotta wonder

I've gotta say, I was saddened when I heard about the cancer, Bastard Child was one of the good guys.

Hard to think all these names i literally grew up with are slowly passing.

I was one of those nerdy no friends type people, and this community was, and is, home.

RIP buddy, I can't say I knew him personally more than anyone else on here, but I'll be damned if it's not sad to see any atomican fall.

We're literally a dying breed.

Stupid caner.

RIP.
