gamble 48 Posted July 26, 2018 (edited) Hello All, Just a small build I did for my son. He mostly plays Minecraft and is young. Case: DIYPC Crystal-D2-RGB Black (Decent case with great RGB lighting) MB: ASRock Fatal1ty AB350 Gaming-ITX/ac AM4 RAM: 2x8GB EVGA SC 3200 DDR4 (I used the ram from my system and got some more lol) CPU: AMD RYZEN 3 2200G Quad-Core Drives: 1x Kingston 120GB SSD, 2x Raptor 10k 160GB PSU: Cougar 87+ 600watt MB is neat as it has Wifi and Bluetooth built-in. The CPU is quite amazing. The onboard graphics will probably be upgraded when the new series releases. Ive ran some benchmarks and... well you know its probably not going to be able to run Crysis :) I had the sata cables tucked in more but he wanted them to show some as they are the colors he picked (red, orange and yellow). Kinda hard to tell from the pics. He wanted me to get some RGB on my case to match... I had a bunch of led old style wayyyy back... I grew to hate them because they would blink all the time and was just annoying... The ring fans now are much more tolerable so I was game. Added some Thermaltake riing120 fans. Kinda wish my side was clear now but when I bought my case years ago now, I never thought I would go back. But my MB, card and now fans can all match, including the new Corsair RGB 3466 kit I just picked up. Stupid MB cant run it at that speed though, still playing around. I cant get a good pic but man it looks good with it all the same color. I prefer the red but he said he liked the green, I really dont care that much, I guess Ill go Jedi for awhile before returning to the Dark side :) Edited July 26, 2018 by gamble
gamble 48 Posted July 28, 2018 Interesting find if looking for what kind of fps you can get with 2200G, some 50 games tested: https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/80lw4j/gaming_on_amd_ryzen_3_2200g_vega_8_gaming_test/ I only ran benchmarks but this shows at low/med settings it performs quite well for the price. Dasa 218 Posted August 1, 2018 Neat so how long till he starts to oc it? And whats this new ram you have?
gamble 48 Posted August 2, 2018 Ha! Yea I want to OC it but he really likes it. Probably would get a decent boost from what I read from reviews. For how cheap the system is it good to get your foot in the door for gaming. Get a card later but really it minecrafts just fine now. I got the kit CORSAIR Vengeance RGB DDR4 3466. But my MB can only post 2666. I know it has to be my MB as it just doesn't play nice with certain RAM. I can run super low timings at 2666 but still behind my old kit at 3200 when benched on aida64. It Samsung B die and I'll just hope the next AGESA bios will improve memory compatibility. Or I'll wait it out for next Ryzen release and upgrade MB/CPU. If I can steal some time on my son's pc to test the kit out more to see what it can do... I have to do that when he not around
