Afaik you can't.

Is this an issue you're having, where you don't want a new paragraph?

How do I go to the members list ?

Are you talking about Active Users?

If so, you go to "Browse" tab up the top and select "Online Users".  This shows who's active or has been recently.

Not yet... but I guess the odds of trying to make a post with fancy formatting on the phone are pretty low.

Yeah no i got that one sorted already , lol.

I was trying to remember index680i and for the life of me just couldn't, very sad state of affairs on my part ?  ... and then I came across @sUpEr gEEk 's av which helped me find index .... very very convoluted and irritating, mostly cos my memory blank
was pissing me off.

Didn't we have a font option? I want to annoy people with a subtle font choice.. 😄

Also text colours, Can we have an at0mic green? Emerald and Dark Emerald are nice, but they don't have the same pop.

😄Thanks!

How about this?

Do the BBCode yourself (like this, but omit spaces):

[ color =#00ff80 ] Text here [ /color ]

Colour is the usual RGB hex string.

Just noticed - all my smilies (which are many) which through habit I do as colon plus close bracket have turned into question marks.

Guess I need to use the Emojis in future ?

Cheers

😊

Look back at a few of my posts pre the maintenance outage, no smilies lots of question marks.

It doesn't bother me, the above is an emoji of course.

I'm using Firefox.

Cheers

There's a good chance the forum is finally recognising the rules we set to not automatically embed emoji, in which case any previous auto-embeds are removed.

Or, not that, and it still embeds 🤔

Maybe it's using a different pack. Who knows ATM, sorry.

Damfino, last night all queries, this morning the smilies are back.

No need to apologise, forum looks fine.

Is it me or is the site painfully slow?

Not just me then.

ping and tracert are fine, so it's server or an ad provider.

Turned on target URL notification - the site hangs are happening on "TLS handshake", whatever that is.  HTH

I'd say it's faster by ~ 50%

This is on chrome anyway.

Okay. My speed here seems better. but since the move across the ocean, I *refresh* a page but it doesn't refresh ... for instance : I made a post earlier this evening. posted it them went to Index page. Came back about half an hour later to the
Index page, *refreshed* it, but no actual refresh happened. Any way, logged out for a while came back now and it seems okay ... but, like I said this wee issue has occurred a few times each visit since we closed for move.

Long 10 hours. 😜  Ok, so I forgot to get back - but on the upside I've had more exposure to it.

Yeah, the loading lag is pretty much gone.  There seems to be a tiny bit of general latency, but it's well within acceptable limits for me.

Not experiencing Eve's refresh problem at all.  Maybe that one is browser-specific?  Running Firefox Quantum 64 here.

Are people noticing lag in posting content? Or just a little bit of general lag?

As I said, it's well within what I'd consider normal - I've had far slower connections within Aus, and not that much faster even to the other side of the planet.  As for lag posting, it is not even slightly comparable to the eons I have to wait for YouTube at times.  I don't think, if there is an issue at all, that it's at your end; I suspect general network traffic.

If you really want, I can throw some traceroute and ping runs at it, but I wouldn't bother with it off my own bat.

I think we've had long enough to decide, so, I'm open to toggling it so enter starts a new lines, and not a paragraph.  I know this is an issue moreso for mobile users.

My vote: new lines please.  I make paragraphs a hell of a lot less than new lines, and it's dead easy to hit enter twice compared to whatever black magic I need to make the auto-paragraph go away.

Shift-enter for a new line, and apparently control-enter to post it.

Ok - didn't know that. Easy enough, but still backwards.

I'm still getting the same issues I mentioned just up the page there. Refreshing pages is not a certainty. It's happening via my mobile too.
