Green Room non-Googleable Music Quiz Game.

Lasted 20 seconds.  It's not the relatability, imagination, or cleverness of the lyrics that bother me about hiphop - it's that to me it is not music.  It's a rare slam poet that I can enjoy, and I have yet to hear a drum solo that I can stick with longer than 30 seconds, and hiphop/rap to me seems like a fusion of both.

And I'm still clueless about your latest quizzation, btw.

I can enjoy it musically if it's offset by musical interludes (like that one).  I'm not sure if you got as far as the chorus which is very well done and is very "poppy".  Same Love by Macklemore falls into the same category for me.  Musically, it's a beautiful song (during the musical interludes outside the rapping).  Lyrically and socially it's a great message.  Same reason why I can't stand American "gansta" rap.  Musically it's awful.  Rap with just a backbeat is atrocious.  Most (good) aussie hiphop is very different to that.

Oh - and I'll hit up a clue later tonight if more people are stumped.

Better.  I managed about 2/3rds of that one.

Nope.  Based on ^that, though, I went back and forced myself to wait for it.  Ok, but not enough to outweigh the rest of the track for me.

'Sok - people like different things.  I don't do well with metal tracks heavy on growling, either - nor am I a big fan of the Grateful Dead.  Doesn't mean other people can't like them. ?

Yeah, I understand.  I have trouble with tracks with "discordant" beats or offset beats.  And I don't like growly stuff either. ?  And I never would have gotten Fenn's 50 cent song in a million years. ?

The song I chose has none of that BTW.  It's definitely not in the hiphop or growly categories. ?

Album had a number of songs do very well, but this one wasn't the single that was released.

LOL.  Sokay Scruffy.  We'll ALL get there one day. ?

SL by CS is the song I'ma lookin' for. ?

Additional clue - artist is also quite well known for stuff that isn't about the music.  Which is a shame because the music is brilliant.

Still no takers?

Song is in the folk/pop arena. Album cover was drawn by the artist who actually went to art school before getting into music.

?

If so, I had no idea about the art school and I still have no idea about the album cover.  "Folk/Pop" and the initials were it.

Thats the one!  Cybes for the win!

Yeah, he designed the cover of Tea for the Tillerman and a couple of his other albums.  Such amazing talent.  The single off this one was "Wild World" which is also an awesome song.  Father and Son, Where do the Children Play and Hard Headed Woman are also from this album.

Oh - righty, then!

I'm about to head for 10-11 hours sleep (been awake for 22), so you're going to have to be patient about clues or your answer(s).  Or abusing me. ?

DWTS by D.

Best of luck!

Both spontaneous for me, but I did listen to them a LOT at the time.  Doesn't matter at all when you got there 4 hours ahead of me. ?
