NASA to soomn announce life on Mars...

Recommended Posts

And humanity won't be prepared for it.

In a startling interview, NASA's Planetary Science Division director Jim Green, Ph.D., has said the space agency is close to "making some announcements" about finding life on Mars — but that we're not ready for it.

“It will be revolutionary,” Green said in an interview with The Telegraph. “It’s like when Copernicus stated ‘no we go around the Sun.' Completely revolutionary. It will start a whole new line of thinking. I don’t think we’re prepared for the results. We’re not."

He added that he's worried because he believes NASA is close to finding life and making an announcement about it but wonders what will happen afterward.

Religitards won't be ready.  Everyone else, including many religious people who accept science, will be utterly unamazed as NASA officially recognises that Mars had microbial life a few million years ago.

The religious will just work out which bit of the bible says this would happen and thank NASA for helping them have better insight into the word of god... or put it down to a NASA scam if they are of the flat earth persuasion. Either way I doubt many/any will change their minds.

Microbial life you say? So we’ve finally found Senator Anning’s intellectual equals?

I'd not say life, probably decent evidence of life that once was.

There's even theories of past life on Venus, supposedly at a time before the atmosphere became a high pressure acid bath.  It'd be pretty hard to gather evidence though.
