Time for a new religion

Recommended Posts

My position has nothing to do with self-interest at the expense of others. I am pro-liberty for everyone, black, white, female, male, homosexual, heterosexual.

Do you think the state outlawing and policing certain communication is necessary for "security"? Do you think people have rights to services and to not have certain things said to them? If in some twisted reality people had rights to services that would mean people don't have a right to not provide said services and people should be forced to provide services. That is not freedom.

Smells like more PC nonsense.

You just assume a blank sheet of paper as the basis of anything, apparently.

In the real world, there are groups of people who are subject to systemically entrenched discrimination, and 'PC nonsense' exists to counteract that.

It's simply not on to be a cunt to anyone on the basis of characteristics they didn't choose. Sadly, this common sense is lost on too many folks, so it needs enforcing.

If you provide goods or services in exchange for money, utilising all the myriad mechanisms society has put in place to facilitate that, then you're bound to act in a manner in accordance with society. You want to pick on certain folks for their inalienable characteristics, fuck off and create your own country and don't sign the charter of human rights.

There’s a difference between business and owner.

A business, even with conferred personhood, does not have implied free speech rights.

A person does.

So if you don’t want to serve a gay guy because Lawd Jaysus, that’s your prerogative but your business must.

Frankly, bigotry is a right. There is no law that states you must like and be nice to everyone. That’s just a fair expectation.

you make that the standard, rather than the lowest option

seems chasing people away is one of your super powers, even if you don't recognise the pattern

Not all people are equal. Communist scum... I’m always glad to chase away.

They’re free to try likewise.

What do you think communists do once they’ve murdered anyone with ambition and made the rest cower in fear?

Your edition of capital is written by a guy who loves the free market.

You read one thing (wealth tax), failed to understand it - and reckoned he’s Marx’s resurrected ghost.

But he ain’t. He’s probably a little to the right of me, economically.

You however, make Stalin blush.

Jeez .

I don't know, I'd rather see people being open and honest . That Is Not Scarey. Bullshit pretending to be real is fucking scarey and demeaning and disrespectful. That's what stops me from responding. But it won't scare me away ffs.

I wish you lot would stop putting provizos on what is deemed fit for this forum. It seems we can only be honoured by your presence if we all conform :\

Don't be fucking misunderstanding me here ... I like having the chance to communicate with you ... just am not at all luving the conditions you seem to want to impose.

I don't have a problem with any of that being legal. People are free to discriminate who they buy goods/services from and people should be free to discriminate who buys goods/services from them.

Do you think people have rights to have certain stuff not said to them? Do you call that freedom? I think people should have freedom to communicate only limited by contracts voluntarily entered into.

you just dont listen,  do you?

there are religious pdople out there who believe that me being left handed is a sin and i should be punushed

I'm not.

I only would like Kimmo to leave. There are enough drug-addled losers out there who've achieved nothing, will achieve nothing- yet somehow imagine they have an answer for how the rest of us should spend or earn our money and live our lives; and the Internet is polluted enough as it is.

More like an irritant. One of the reasons I call him Grave Liner.

Were the revolution he craves to actually occur he’d be an irritant to actual practical Communists, and thus he’d be in the first layer of bodies in a mass grave.

I have the same attitude to Nazis, Islamists and anti-vaxxers as I do to Kimmo.

Whatever they think of their "enlightenment", in the end they're just psychopathic murderers.

Ah, politics!

I see now, never has there been a greater divide in recent times as there is now.

OK, I'm caught up now 😶

No I think we've always hated Communists.

It's just in the last 20 years there's been a bit of a push by the "gender is fluid; believe women; wakanda forever" woke brigade that we should somehow respect a difference of opinion with irredeemable rectums and utter losers.

🤨 Err...oookaay

I'll just view it like I do news and current affairs, very infrequently. Great tactic for lower stress levels 🙂

"We have" ?  Who's "we", Leo?  Australia's population had a pretty strong Left lean until quite recently.  Gogh is still on a pedestal, and he openly called his Party members "comrade".  Most of the people I talk to (admittedly a small and not terribly representative sample) are still pretty Left-thinking when questioned, though they've been conditioned into thinking that Right-wing pollies have the answers.

Don't pretend to speak for me, or indeed anyone but yourself.  I'm no communist, but your statements lately sound very too far to the Right for my comfort.

@Kimmo: What are "all the myriad mechanisms society has put in place to facilitate that"?

my point is that some people use their holy book as justification to deny other people freedoms and rights

if you agree that lefthandedness is not sinful, then what other parts of tye bible do you think are wrong ?

Not strong - but yeah it did (and still does).

Gough was from an upper-middle-class family, was aligned with the Labor Right faction and was the first Labor leader to try shift ALP control from the unions to the parliamentary party.

Albanese gave a speech in June last year. He said

“Indeed, many people from working class backgrounds are not members of unions because they were beneficiaries of Gough Whitlam’s education reforms. They became the first people in their families to go to university, work in the professions and non-unionised industries, or start their own business. We cannot afford to ignore this demographic.”

Whitlam did his absolute best to remove Labor from the hard left. It's why he's on a pedestal. He's the off-to-the-center socialist who took Labor out of socialism.

What "freedom and rights" are "religious people" denying others? Please provide examples.

Where does The Bible say left-handedness is sinful?

@Kimmo: Do you think gay bars should be forced to let Christian preachers in?
