fliptopia 304 Posted November 16 It really depends on the blue screen issue you are having. Could you take a picture of the screen?

Dasa 289 Posted November 21 (edited) You wont be able to change desktop theme and it will have a watermark in the corner. If you go into settings update and security you should be able to click check for updates. As to your instability there isn't really enough info from that to be sure but I typically start buy running some stability tests to rule out some hardware. Mysticizm 1 Posted November 21 There was an update available version 1903 I restarted it to apply and got a BSOD with the stop code: CLOCK WATCHDOG TIMEOUT Restarted again and it says Updates available version 1903, Status: Getting things ready - 100% That might be a very old update? If so its a pirated version. I dont see a watermark and am able to change the background theme whats the best way to install the free win 10? burn it to dvd and overwrite the old one? fliptopia 304 Posted November 22 1903 was earlier this year. 1909 has just superseded it. Best way to install a new copy is to look up media creation tool and download it and write it to a USB flash drive.
Rybags 1,164 Posted November 23 The last 1 or 2 updates don't have the watermark anymore. But activated or not shouldn't matter at all. Some machines have trouble with 1903, Macbook Pro had to wait some time until driver fixes came out, but automatic update held back and didn't update unless you used the installer and did it manually. Sometimes Windows just gets such problems which might be from a virus, bad driver or conflicting bit of software. Easiest fix might be to just create a bootable installer of 1909 then install by booting and keep files/programs.
