I took 7-10 yesterday morning, had to wake up at 5:45 (ah, the joys of photography). Used a Nikon D70s with a kit 18-70mm lens. All processed in ACR and CS3.

All critiques and comments appreciated!

Thanks.

There are three stand-out images (according to me) that I personally think are pretty good

Also I think this one has a particularly bad feel to the composition

Thanks Ath. For that last one, I was trying something different compositionally, I wanted to see if it could work, and I'm not sure if it has (hence posting it here).

Thanks for that, I might use another picture I was thinking about including anyway :)

Ive drawn over to your pic to explain how I think it could work.

I'd get rid of that thing on the side in the clouds that's been crosed out (though it may work there by compressing the space as explained below)

I'd compress the space in the middle, bing the trees and that interesting area of clouds at the top down further (i think this could be achieved by moving closer to the trees and shooting from a lower angle and wider angle, then id cop around the pink line to change the ratio would should work better compositionally for the amount of trees that are showing (the interesting area of the clouds would hopefully be moved beneath crop line after compressing the space).

I think that dead tree shot needs more tree. And that trees and sky shot could do with less trees. 10 points for the fence and distant trees though, and that lone tree on the hill is a very solid shot.
